"Long ago, the four nations lived together in harmony. Then, everything changed when the Fire Nation attacked. Only the Avatar, master of all four elements, could stop them. But when the world needed him most, he vanished."

In an alternate universe where the Airbender Avatar had actually died along with the other Air Nomads, a Water Tribe Avatar emerges. Sumaye must learn to master the four elements just as her predecessors before her. The challenge: making sure she doesn't get captured by the Fire Lord, the most powerful Fire Bender of the four nations.

With her flower spirit guide and friends she makes along her journey, they train to defeat the Fire Lord and bring back peace and harmony between the four nations. Sumaye travels the world, searching for element-bending masters that would be willing to teach train her and disobey the orders of the Fire Lord.

Eventually, after months filled with adventures, training, and comradery, Sumaye and her friends team up to defeat the Fire Lord. She ends up being able to befriend the Fire Lord, who has realized how wrong the war was and pledges to restore balance and bring back peace within the four nations.
